Words on the Wind

Photo Challenge – Day 11: Something Old

Old things that last generations.

Old things that last generations.

This compass has been passed down to my father from his grandfather who has been deceased for  quite a while now.   My father’s grandfather probably kept this compass with him all through his adult life.   I’m not sure how old it is, but I consider it to be very old (70 or so years).   It has outlasted the original owner and must be continually passed on.  There is no writing to be found anywhere on it, besides the face on the inside and one word, Taylor.   The key beside it was given to me by my grandfather, and is not quite as old, but I would consider it old all the same.
