Today’s photo challenge is Rose. Spring is here and the weather is finally starting to show it.
For my photo challenge today, I have memories as the subject. To tell you the truth, every single photograph I take has a memory stitched through it. This photograph, however, has a memory sewn in it that I hope I never forget. A walk along a river, barefoot, hand-in-hand with a very special person.
I could smell it in the air yesterday, that pure, cooling scent – rain. It came in the night. I could hear the tell-tale pitter patter on my window as I closed my book and gave into sleep. My dog woke me up early today, and there it was. The rain had come and gone, leaving that quiet in the air. It was the most beautiful morning of spring that I have seen this year.
Today’s photo challenge is spring. When I think of spring, I think of new life, the birds, insects and animals who have been hidden away all winter, and the new blossoms and greenery of the Earth. I especially think of cherry blossoms! When I saw this little bee working busily away among these fresh new blossoms, all I could think of was spring!
Today’s photo challenge is wildlife. Where I am, the Canadian geese are slowly making their way back to wherever they came from. Each winter, the rivers and fields are full of flocks of Canadian geese. Now is the time when many of them disappear, flying back from whence they came. There are a few, however who remain. These geese are the ones I look out for with my camera.
Today’s photo challenge is strangers. While on a peaceful day out, I brought my camera to a park that has a huge lake nestled in the very center. Among the many joggers and strollers at the park, I noticed these two ladies fishing. I have no idea who they are, so they are strangers to me. It appeared as if a daughter was fishing with her old and ailing mother. After I took the shot, I continued to walk towards them. My guess turned out to be truth, for I heard the lady standing call out to the woman sitting using the title of “ma“.
